The U.S. President's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports introduced an adult test similar to the "Presidential Fitness Award" that is available for school-age children. The fitness test measures a person's endurance, strength and flexibility using a few simple activities. The Body Mass Index (BMI) is also factored into an equation along with the activity results to produce a numeric value. This value can be used to gauge a person's general fitness level and also be compared with those of other people in the same gender/age category. |
