Below are answers to commonly asked questions. Please call our offices or email us if you have more detailed questions about our equipment, it's installation, exercises, or purchasing.
We recommend using safety surfacing with all installations, but it is not required. The most common surfacing options used are: Poured in Place rubber (PIP), Engineered Wood Fibers (EWF), and Decomposed Granite (DG).
Installing equipment onto grass is okay, but be aware of a few important recommendations. On grass, it is important not to have the grass growing directly around the equipment as lawn maintenance equipment can damage it; we recommend cutting grass back 8 to 10 inches away from equipment. It is also vital to avoid having sprinklers or fertilizer come in direct contact with the equipment as the chemical additives can have a negative impact on the powder coating. Avoid standing water around the equipment; having proper drainage is critical because pooled water can lead to corrosion build up on the steel.
Installing equipment onto a concrete pad is okay. Our surface mountable equipment allows an easy installation onto a pad. PIP is a common finishing surface over a pad. Avoid standing water around the equipment; having proper drainage is critical because pooled water can lead to corrosion build up on the steel.
A maintenance check should be performed on a consistent basis. Please follow the TriActive America Maintenance Plan that was supplied with your warranty document.
Each piece of equipment comes with an Installation Specification explaining the correct installation process for that specific product. In general, all products are anchored in concrete that safely secures the equipment. Many products are surface mountable and come with anchor bolts that are secured into the concrete.
